But after reading their latest press / public statement in www.malaysiakini.com , I am now feeling that HINDRAF may gone overboard. Going back to India, UK and even the UN to highlight their demand against the government is not a wise thing to do!
Going for international support will not work! and this will also bring negative impression on the country. We can work together and pressure the current government, as I believe domestic political pressure is a better alternatives. HINDRAF has got to remember that there are many poor people even in the Malays and Chinese communities in Malaysia.
So, what can HINDRAF do now?
- HINDRAF may participate as candidates in this coming election, as I will assume that their application for a legalize political party will be rejected, but their can still participate as a 'Calon Bebas'.
- Pressure their representative in the current government to do more for the Indian community, not for their own stomach!
- Help educate rural Indians about their political right to choose!
- Help improve Tamil schools through local community pressure!
If HINDRAF manage to do this, I believe that support and donation will come, and only HINDRAF will become a respectful political pressure group.
There are many ways to improve our community, there are many peaceful way to gain support. Don't get carried away with our emotions...

Wise obeservations! HINDRAF needs to go confront the MIC instead of UMNO.
If MIC can't and won't do what they are upposed to do for the Malaysian Indians, then in the next GE, HINDRAF should stand for elections after registering themselves as a legitimate political party.
The Malaysian Indian grassroots who are now rallying behind HINDRAF can vote for them and show their support and replace the MIC in the Malaysian political sphere.
The gnawing question is whether after coming into power, will HINDRAF stay their course or be as what MIC is now or turn worse?
Power tends to corrode and corrupt even those who first started out with noble aspirations to improve the lot of their people.
Anyway, I for one still say that HINDRAF must confront the MIC and not UMNO about their demands.
MIC would not be there all these years if the Malaysian Indians didn't keep returning Samy Vellu and his cronies back into power, every GE that has taken place here in Malaysia.
Hindraf has been peaceful. It is the Govt that instigated violence.
There is nothing wrong with seeking international support when the Govt has failed. That is one reason why the United Nations is there.
Those who try to stop Hindraf are only covering their guilty conscience.

t is very obvious that external power/source helping this group to create chaos in malaysia.
It will create opportunity for the foreign country to interfere into Malaysia's affair...with the increasing fuel prices and malaysia been located strategically its very obvious it's the envy of the neighbouring and foreign country..
the problem with the indians "tamil" is corruption. the indian tamil even don't trust each other...how would expect them to prosper..take their leader for example he hails from the plantation...from poor family....see even he cant control his crowd.....by the way indian should also look into the plea of the "orang asli" of malaysia...how they are surviving....
bottom line .. is , there are external sources,,involve...they want malaysia to join other countries...in .."trouble water".......

lately...i have seen the patriotism among the indian tamil has been changing towards...it seem they are not anymore patriotic to malaysia but more to the southern indian goverment....wat does this indicate...
can you imagine if malaysia been invaded/attack ..by foreign source..from that part of the world can we trust the so call "malaysian" tamil in malaysia....
What the malaysian goverment dont realise is..that the issuing of visa on arrival has been abusive by a lot of foreigners....and they have been bringing in a lot of ideology and go into hiding..in this country....
.what the malaysian goverment dont realises...are it seem most of the Hindu temples in malaysia is run by the priest from indian with diff. ideology...and intention.
Our goverment should keep tap on this group..before things get out of control....
