'Reformasi' Anwar famous battle cry is surely inspiring and has influence many of his supporters.
Now that Anwar has won Permatang Pauh, and is the leader of the opposition in Malaysia's Parliament, will he be successful to wrest power from BN with the assistance of MPs that is said ready to cross over this coming 16th September.
Will it really happen? In my personal opinion, Anwar will never get enough seats to form a government, and I think he knows it very well.
PM Abdullah has said that he will never let it happen. Hadi Awang of PAS has disclosed that PAS will not join the new government if the number of Muslim MP is more than the non-muslims.
There is a split in PAS now, on one side leaning towards a cooperation with UMNO to form a Muslim dominated government lead with Hadi and on the other side, lead by Tuan Guru Nik Aziz committed on the Pakatan Rakyat alliance.
Anwar may get around 7-8 seats but it will never be enough to form a government.
I hope that PR, lead by Anwar will be an effective oposition in parliament for the time being. Even if Anwar have enough seats, PM Abdullah will surely dissolve parliament forcing for a snap poll.
I will stop dreaming for the time being.
